In 1845, the Christian Church stood at this location. In 1877, the congregation under Reverend Issac Newton Walker grew to the point where a larger church was needed. The new church was built at 81 West Bridge Street. Throughout the years, this building has seen some expansion, such as the beautiful front porch which was added in 1910.
