Excitement is building and many great Holiday events are coming your way! We welcome you to participate and join in the fun.

This year, the HDBA has created many
opportunities to celebrate with you
this Christmas season. Outlined below are dates, times and descriptions of
activities throughout November and December.

New this year is the Twelve Doors of Dublin decorating contest.  How exciting to see the district looking so festive for the season!

Holly Days - Twelve Doors of Dublin Contest
Beautiful Entryways of Historic Dublin will be adorned with Lights, Greenery and Beautiful Embellishments this Holiday season.
 
What a beautiful landscape it will be. Buildings, windows and especially doors will be accented with red bows, traditional greenery and soft glowing lights.  

A contest to recognize the twelve most captivating doors will be featured and a panel of judges will be looking for the Best of Show. 

Celebrate their ideas and hard work with a stroll down Bridge and High Streets!

 

Holiday Open House - Thurs., November 17th
Join the Celebration with the Businesses of Historic Dublin
  • Enjoy tasty treats, enter a drawing for a great gift, shop for quality items only found in Historic Dublin. 
  • Between 1pm - 8pm several businesses in Historic Dublin will be hosting Holiday Open Houses.
  • Tour the district while shopping, dining and enjoying the sights and sounds of the Christmas season.
  • Catch a trolley ride from 4pm - 7pm sponsored by Heartland Bank.
  • Gather on the street to view the beautiful luminaries compliments of the      American Cancer Society.
Experience a great afternoon and evening of fun and excitement, 
as we usher in the Christmas season.

Gather 'round the Christmas tree awaiting Santa's arrival in a fire truck!  Santa's reindeer will also be joining him in making their annual appearance.
 
Sip hot chocolate while listening to children from Indian Run Elementary and Riverside Elementary singing your favorite songs.

Chili-Cookoff - Sat., December 3rd
The Restaurants of Historic Dublin take on the Challenge

 

What a great way to warm up on a Saturday. Shop, taste, have a little cheer. It's Sláinte in December!

$5.00 will give you a Tasting Ticket good for a sample at all participating restaurants. Bragging rights will follow, with a winner announced that day!

 

Ticket proceeds will go to the Dublin Food Pantry and Welcome Warehouse. 
Two great organizations helping those in need this Holiday season.

 

Tasting from 1pm - 4pm  -  $5.00 ticket

The Sister's Sweet Shoppe and the Dublin City High Schools Family Consumer Science/Family Career and Community Leaders of America Classes  and Art Students are going all out again for the Make a Wish Foundation.

This is an awesome event for the whole family.

Crafts for the kids - Make their own mini gingerbread house

and many other holiday items. 

Last year's "Make a Wish Child" will be visiting the shoppe. Her fulfilled wish was to perform in Nashville!

Sample scrumptious fruitcakes and delicious hot chocolate.

Twelve Elves of Dublin Contest - Dec., 1st - 23rd
A Holiday Contest for the Entire Family!

From December 1st - 23rd, Santa's elves will be hiding in Historic Dublin. 
 
Children and adults are invited to travel the Dublin Historic District hunting for these cute little Irish elves or leprechauns.
 
Pick up a passport from a participating business and start gathering holiday stamps at each location. A red elf window cling will alert you to the businesses
with one of these adorable shelf sitters.
 
Find them all in one day or spend several days enjoying the district while filling your passport.
 
When completed, contestants drop off their passports to one of the participating businesses for a chance to win one of three gift baskets brimming with gifts.
 

 

 "Wrap it Up" - Thurs., December 15th
With 10 days left to shop, what a festive way to look for the perfect gift!
 
 
Let the businesses of Historic Dublin help you with your gift giving.  Only 10 days to the big day and a personalized gift certificate or gift from the many shoppes will make this Christmas memorable. Spend the day or evening, shopping, dining and visiting with friends and family.
